About Us

Since 2019, Landing has redefined apartment renting with the industry's first flexible living model. Our membership program provides consumers access to a network of apartments in 60+ top markets with no deposits, hassles, or stress.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented compliance professional to join Landing’s Legal team. This role sits within the Legal department and reports directly to the General Counsel, a member of Landing’s executive team. You will own two critical operational pillars: (1) coordinating, researching, and managing short-term rental regulatory compliance across every jurisdiction we operate in (U.S. and abroad), and (2) supporting our Sales team by managing deal workflows, ensuring contract and pricing compliance, and streamlining approvals. Successful candidates bring strong analytical ability, critical thinking, and the ability to context-switch between government relations and internal deal operations. They will work with management to identify, develop, and execute strategic operational initiatives via a flexible, repeatable, and scalable process.

What You'll Do

STR Permit Coordination

  • Research municipal codes and government websites to identify STR operating requirements in each market.
  • Contact city and county offices to clarify requirements and advocate for permit applications.
  • Coordinate with operations and launch teams to gather documentation for permit filings.
  • Prepare and file business license and STR permit applications accurately and on time.
  • Follow up proactively to move applications through government pipelines.
  • Audit listings to confirm correct legal minimum stay requirements are displayed per city.
  • Monitor regulatory changes across the portfolio to maintain compliance.
  • Manage permit renewals and expiration tracking.
  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual STR reporting.

Deal Desk Administration

  • Review and process quotes, contracts, and pricing requests for policy compliance.
  • Act as the point of contact for sales reps on deal structure, pricing, and approvals.
  • Manage escalations and exceptions; resolve deal blockers.
  • Maintain accurate deal records in internal systems.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Sales Ops to ensure timely contract reviews and approvals.
  • Maintain and update deal desk documentation and process guidelines.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual deal desk reporting.
  • Other tasks as assigned

What You'll Need

  • Requirement to work in-office (Torre Esmeralda 3, Mexico City)
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, International Relations, or related field, preferred. Recent graduates in Law, Business Administration, International Relations, or Communications are welcome. 1–3 years of experience in paralegal, sales operations, deal desk, order management, legal research or compliance roles, optimal.
  • Advanced English: High-level verbal and written fluency in English is essential — you will communicate daily with U.S. government offices and internal stakeholders.
  • Investigative Skills: Comfortable reading dense municipal codes, contracts, and pricing frameworks to extract critical information.
  • Extreme Organization: You thrive with checklists, spreadsheets, and firm deadlines. You manage multiple workstreams without dropping the ball.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Sheets. Comfortable with Slack, Google Drive, and Mac.
  • Resourcefulness: Requirements differ by jurisdiction and by deal — you’re energized by figuring things out independently.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Experience and/or excitement to be able to work with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and hardworking with a history of achieving targets.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
