About the Role:

The Senior Staff Accountant will play an integral role in the monthly close process, account reconciliations, adherence to accounting policies and procedures, and assist with financial reporting and technical accounting. Successful candidates will demonstrate superior time management skills, and a positive approach to working with team members.

What You'll Do:

  • Work on general ledger monthly close processes and achieve monthly deadlines.
  • Create/review documentation and support for journal entries.
  • Liaison with external auditors and assist with coordinating financial statement audits.
  • Provide monthly analysis of month over month and quarter over quarter variances.
  • Complete monthly intercompany billings and reconciliations.
  • Complete monthly consolidation.
  • Identify and implement processes and system improvements with the goal of decreasing days to close, while also improving team efficiency and scalability.
  • Review transactions for appropriate coding (e.g. GL accounts, departments, location, etc)
  • Increase internal control activities around the monthly close process.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent required, Master’s degree is a plus.
  • CPA preferred.
  • 4+ years of relative accounting experience; at least 3 years in public accounting or professional services highly preferred.
  • Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Netsuite, experience highly valued).
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with a “can do” attitude and ability to multi-task while performing a variety of complex tasks.
  • Experience in Airbase and Looker (or other database systems) preferred
