About the Role:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Billing Coordinator to join our team. The Billing Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the billing processes, ensuring accuracy, and facilitating timely payments from customers. This role involves extensive communication with clients, internal teams, and vendors to resolve billing issues and maintain financial records. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

What You'll Do:

  • Account Receivable:
    • Assist in contacting past-due invoiced customers via email, phone calls, and other communication channels.
    • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies to facilitate prompt payment.
    • Collaborate with customers to address payment issues and negotiate payment plans as necessary.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other teams, including sales, customer service, and operations, to ensure that reservations and billing information are accurate and up-to-date.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve billing-related inquiries and disputes.
    • Team up with our Collections Specialist to ensure timely reporting of collections related members and disputes. 
  • Rent Audits:
    • Perform regular audits of rental accounts to verify accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements.
    • Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective measures to maintain financial integrity.
  • Assistance in A/R Close:
    • Support the Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist during the monthly close process.
    • Assist in reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and completing other tasks under the supervision of the A/R Specialist.

What You Need:

  • Ability to work on-site at our Birmingham, AL office. 
  • 1-2 years in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, particularly Sheets, Netsuite and/or Stripe are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience in customer service or collections is a plus.
