- Provide monthly analysis of financial variances, identifying trends and areas for further investigation.
- Manage general ledger activities and execute a timely and accurate monthly close process.
- Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation, ensuring alignment with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Perform and own bank reconciliations across multiple entities and currencies.
- Support financial statement audits and act as a liaison with external auditors.
- Identify opportunities for automation and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and reduce the close timeline.
- Review transactional coding for accuracy and consistency across departments and entities.
- Have a strong understanding of sales tax remittance and filing requirements across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring timely and correct submissions while collaborating with a third-party provider for sales tax compliance.
What You Need
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required; CPA certification preferred.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in public accounting or high-growth environments.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, particularly as it pertains to revenue recognition.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets; familiarity with Looker and/or SQL is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems; NetSuite highly preferred.
- Experience working with Stripe, Airbase, and document management platforms like Egnyte is strongly valued.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- A self-starter with a problem-solving mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
