Accounting Specialist

About the Role: 

As our Online Travel Agencies (OTA) Accounting Specialist, you’ll be the go-to person for making sure all the numbers add up when it comes to our third-party reservations. You’ll team up with our OTA partners and Accounting crew to keep our listings and revenue in perfect harmony. What you’ll Do: 

• Create and send out billing statements for all new reservations from our online travel platforms.
• Update or adjust statements anytime there’s a change in a reservation.
• Review and reconcile invoices and statements from our OTA (Online Travel Agency) partners to make sure everything matches up.
• Double-check payouts by comparing our bank statements with payout reports from the OTAs.
• Reconcile accounts receivable by making sure what’s booked in our system (NetSuite) matches the payments we’ve received.
• Make sure all OTA statements are accurate and finalized by the end of each month.
• Work with the team to share monthly reports on profits from our OTA reservations.
• Keep an eye on fees to ensure we’re paying the correct amounts (no overcharges on your watch!)

• Fluent English
• Ability to work in-office at our Mexico City location
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, working with high-volume data entry
• Desirable Accounting Degree
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong sense of urgency and a solid work ethic
• Flexibility to work extended hours during critical periods, as needed
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and a fit for our fast-paced, inclusive culture
• Adaptable and comfortable with change
• Well-organized and able to multitask using various administrative tools
• Kind, self-motivated, and hardworking, with a track record of achieving goals
• Knowledge in Accounting Principles like Revenue Recognition, as well as General Ledger.
• Experience in accounts receivable, as well as Bank Reconciliation.

• Salary $18,000 MXN Gross monthly 
• Grocery Vouchers $1500 monthly.
